Vibrogym is a worldwide advance in training that has been used in Europe and the U.S.A since 1999. One 30 minute workout on the Vibrogym creates equivalent gains to 2 hours of conventional training. This is achieved with minimal stress on the joints and ligaments. Originally based on research done by Russian Space Scientists to combat the effects of micro-gravity on cosmonants, vibration training has been adapted to enhance sports performances, fitness and wellbeing.
HOW THE VIBROGYM WORKS
In traditional gym training weights are used to put force down onto the body. On the Vibrogym a specific frequency and amplitude of vibration is chosen and the acceleration of the plate loads the limbs. The vibrations stimulate a reflex contraction within the muscle which creates higher level of muscle activation than you could achieve if performing a voluntary muscle contraction. You can perform static (not moving) or dynamic (moving) movements including standing, sitting, kneeling, lying and placing your limbs and hands on it – almost any exercise from a typical gym workout can be done on this machine.
KEY RESEACH FINDINGS INCLUDE : Strength gains with less training time. Decreases in body fat. Increases in explosive power. Increases in bone mass density. Increases in repair and human growth hormones. Decreases in cortisol (stress hormone). Increase in Basal Metabolic Rate. Decrease in cellulite.
